The Kurrawang Woodline operated by the West Australian Goldfields Firewood Supply Co. Pty Ltd. It was a mobile establishment at the railhead. The main camp consisted on transportable buildings as well as a number of buildings permanently on railway wheels. When the main camp shifted, the location of all buildings relative to each other remained the same. The line started at Kurrawang and moved out into the Eastern Goldfields.

Found in a packet labelled: Kurrawang Woodline. J.K. Ewers published some of these photographs with his article "Fuel for the Golden Mile : the story of the Kurrawang Woodline" published in Walkabout Vol.5, no.4, 1 Feb. 1939, p.21-24. Ewers also wrote to his wife describing his visit to the Woodline in a letter held at 5459A/218.
