Summary
Prince Charles visited Broome on 22-23 March 1979 as part of the State's WAY '79 150th anniversary celebrations. Prince Charles arrived in Broome from Port Hedland 22 March 1979. HRH met leaders of the pearling industry. The next day the Royal aircraft took Prince Charles to Kununurra where he visited the Ord Diversion Dam.
