219202PD is a photograph of Members of the Army Co-operation Section of the Australian Aero Club (WA Section). Pilots are (l to r): R.T. Jolley, B.G. Holmes, G.W. Lewis, E.L. Barrett, M.E. Peacock, ? , A.E. Roberts, R. O. Giles, ? , J.H. Moore, K.D. Cohen, A.L. Whitham, M.E. Scott, F. Grady, R. H. Cohen. Major J.E. McKinley in the centre. Prior to 1938 there was no official RAAF base in WA. In 1923 members of the Australian Aero Club formed a group officially known as the Army Co-Operation Section of the Australian Aero Club (WA Section) but unofficially as "Brigadier Martyn's Air Force" They flew Aero club aircraft as attacking and reconnaisance aircraft to assist in Army manouvers in WA.
