Item Detail
Summary
People attend Trigg Beach for the 2021 abalone fishing season. The season is very short, usually a couple of days, so people want to get as much abalone as they can. Bag limits are strict and enforced by patrols by the Department of Fisheries. This can be a dangerous type of fishing. Many people who can't swim turn up to fish on reefs being hit by large surf. These images are of people at the beach in readiness for the season.
