Summary
The Hon Linda Burney MP, Minister for Indigenous Australians, addressed a crowd at the Yes23 campaign event, Walyalup Koort, William Street, Fremantle. She was joined by fellow speakers Labor Member for Fremantle Josh Wilson MP, and Yes23 Spokesperson Thomas Mayo who spoke in front of approximately 500 supporters for the Yes23 campaign. Also present were local Indigenous leader Dr Gerrard Shaw, Fremantle Mayor Helen Fitzhardinge and Tibetan Buddhist nun the Venerable Thuben Chokyi (from the Buddhist temple in Kensington). The rally was held at Walyalup Koort formerly known as Kings Square in Fremantle.
