Summary
Chung (or Chong) Wong was found unconscious at the gate of his market garden in the right of way between Stuart Street and Newcastle Street, Perth on 30 May 1930 and he died soon after in hospital (story in the Truth, Perth, W.A. 8 June 1930, p.4 - photograph on p.9). This place is possibly what is now known as Pendal Lane. Chung (or Chong) Wong was also known as Charlie Wong. The Western Australian death certificate lists him as Wong, Chong (family name Wong), the Karrakatta cemetery records list him as Chong, Wong (family name Chong). Newspaper items spell his name variously as Chung and Chong.
