Summary
Built from 1895 and closed in 1959, the Union Bakery was one of the largest bakeries supplying Perth and also Aero Flour products in the 20th century. The former Union Bakery was in disrepair when the EPRA took on the building as its office complex. Much of the building's heritage was conserved (including the original timber ceiling, oven arches and parts of the steel floor) to create a modern, comfortable working environment. Reopened as an office building 30 March 2006. (W.A. Government media statement)
