Summary
Forrest Place was a new street created by the demolition of the Central Arcade buildings. The ceremony opening the street was held before the Governor General officially opened the new General Post Office. A photograph of Lady Forrest declaring Forrest Place open is published in the newspaper The Magpie (Perth), 28/9/1923, p.2.
