Summary
The High School (sometimes referred to in newspapers as Perth High School) was in a premises in George Street until 1914 when it moved to this building in Havelock Street, West Perth. This school later, in 1929, became Hale School. Two stones were laid, the first by the Governor Sir Harry Barron and the second by 'old boy' Sir Edward Wittenoom MLC. Another photograph of this event is published in the Sunday Times 22/2/1914, p.14.
