Summary
Photographs of the theatre during a performance which took place soon after the completion of renovations supervised by Hill and Parkinson Architects. The theatre was officially re-opened 28 May 1980. During West Australian Opera company seasons at His Majesty's Theatre. The laundry was known as 'Wardrobe'. The lady in the background is Alma Taylor, Head of Wardrobe for the West Australian Opera company, and her deputy, Betty Bostock, is on the left at the ironing board. Alma and Betty were costumiers (cutters and tailors) for the company and other Perth theatre and musical shows in the 1970s and 1980s (Information supplied 2024)
