Item Detail
Summary
Street Libraries aim to promote literacy, build a sense of community and endorse reading. Various little free libraries are being installed in places such as parks, residential properties near schools and child care centres. The ‘little library’ is a simple book swap concept; they are filled with books so that anyone can stop by and collect a book or two, provided they replace the ones that they take with other books. This collection shows the little libraries built at 14 Campbell Street, 33 Heytesbury Road and 235 Hamersley Road, Subiaco.
