Summary

At 465 Carrington Street corner of Rockingham Road. The refurbished Memorial Hall built in 1925 - incorporating space for exhibitions, theatre and other performances, in a multi-use space that can be used for workshop situations, conference & seminars and other single use activity that is consistent with art and culture. Work began on the refurbishment and expansion of the Hall in 2004, restoring the original building to its former glory and constructing a modern addition, completed in 2009. The Memorial Hall Round Room provides the local community with a high profile public exhibition space. Phoenix Theatre Inc operates out of Hamilton Hill's Memorial Hall. The group puts on approximately four productions a year, and are the first theatre group in the City of Cockburn. - Philip Gostelow, photographer.
