Lena Nyadbi And Jodie Hall Paint Their Barramundi Dreaming, Kununurra, August-September 2017.

Summary

The photographer Darren Clark visited the home of Jodie Hall in Mirima, Kununurra where he met the celebrated Aboriginal artist Lena Nyadbi. Lena Nyadbi, a friend of Jodie Hall's mother, is now living with the Hall family. Darren accompanied the Hall family and Lena Nyadbi out to Nyadbi's mothers traditional land at Mt Evelyn in the Argyle where she painted her dreaming story. He then watched as Lena Nyadbi, Jodie Hall and Phyllis Ningarmara painted their Barramundi Dreaming at the Waringarri Aboriginal Arts Centre in Kununurra (Phyllis can be seen in the background). Both Lena Nyadbi and Jodie Hall gave their paintings to Darren Clark who has subsequently given them to the State Library of Western Australia - References: ART0226 and ART0228.
