Summary
Photograph taken near the home of the photographer at Lyalls Mill about 1904. An obituary for William Paton Lyall describes his sudden death, his career and mentions his business interests in the timber industry in Collie. With his brothers, William owned Lyalls Mill (as the Collie Timber Co.). Christina Lyall nee McKenzie later married George S. Olivey (1910). She was found drowned in the Swan River on 16 September 1931 aged 56. An obituary is published in the South Western News 18 September 1931, p.4. The grantee for her grave at Karrakatta Cemetery was her son William Kenneth McKenzie Lyall.
