Summary
The Elizabethan Village in Armadale was conceived by British millionaire Stanley Leopold Fowler (1923-1992) during a visit to Western Australia in 1973, incorporating replicas of Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Shakespeare's birthplace. The village was officially opened by Premier Charles Court in November 1977. It later became a Bed and Breakfast complex with the Elizabethan Village Pub on the same site.
