Summary
Fokker F VII-3m, "Abel Tasman", arrived at Wyndham 16 May 1931 carrying the first experimental air mail from Holland. The mail had been flown to Batavia where it was transferred to the Abel Tasman belonging to KNILM which continued via Koepang, Wyndham, Camooweal, Charleville, Brisbane and Sydney to reach Melbourne on 18 May 1931. Pilot Captain M.P. Pattist, mechanic S. Elleman, reserve pilot J.J. Moll.
