Aerial photographs showing the battle damage in the village of Hangard and surrounding wood after the Battle of Hangard Wood (March 1918) which was part of the 2nd Battle of Villers-Bretonneux. Used as intelligence for planning the 3rd Battle of The Somme (also known as The Battle of Amiens, and also known as the Third Battle of Picardy), August 1918. They illustrate the impact of war on the landscape.
