Summary
BA2659/10 and 4372B/82A: The European man in the dark shirt may be Robert Colquhoun, mining engineer at the Great Fingall Gold Mine in Day Dawn from late 1904 to August 1910 when he moved to Queensland. The photographer W.H. Kretchmar owned the Fingall Studio in Day Dawn 1901-1915.

Some images have been received as part of two donations: BA2659/10 same as 4372B/82A; BA2659/11 same as 4372B/82B; BA2659/12 same as 4529B/25; BA2659/13 same as 4372B/83A. In the photographer's original album he has duplicate copies with 4372B/80A same as 4372B/83B and 4372B/80B same as 4372B/83A. 4372B/78A, 4372B/83A and 4372B/83B were published as illustration to an article by Daisy Bates titled: Dooarreebarloo, the West Range hematite mine, where the Aboriginal gets pure ochre. (Western Mail 3/4/1909, p.30) 4372B/84B was published as illustration to an article by Daisy Bates titled: An Aboriginal Don Juan. (Western Mail 25/12/1909, p.91)
