Summary
Visit of the Commissioners of the Fremantle Harbour Trust, H.E. the Governor Gerard Strickland, the Colonial Secretary J.D. Connolly and the Commissioner for Railways J.T. Short to Rottnest Island for the testing of the life saving equipment. The party travelled on the Trust's vessel the Penguin with Captain J.J. Airey, 20 January 1910. The group inspected the signal station, the rocket warning system and the fog signal. In 1910 the Commissioners of the Fremantle Harbour Trust are: A.G. Leeds, E. Allnutt, Thomas Eyres, Charles Hudson, H.G. Barker and Frank William Buck Stevens (Secretary)
