Summary
Dated to ca.1902 as a photograph published in the Kalgoorlie Western Argus 8/10/1901 p.19 shows the mine with only one chimney while a photograph published in 1902 shows the two chimneys which appear in this photograph. Although often referred to as being in Kookynie it is usually associated with the Niagara mining district see Twentieth century impressions of Western Australia, pp.269-271.
