Item Detail
Summary
Book caption: "Within the Great Victoria Desert, plains where the soil is less sandy have a cover of mulga (Acacia aneura) as shown here, but attempts to establish sheep stations have been generally unsuccessful due to lack of ground herbage, In this example near Cosmo Newbery the ground layer consists partly of inedible spinifex. There is some growth of yellow flowering Waitzia, but by no means an abundant cover."
