Item Detail
Summary
Book caption: The Fraser Range is a unique area, crossed by the main highway between Norseman and Balladonia. The range trends SW to NE and consists of low rounded hills of granulite gneiss. The dominant vegetation of the hills is a scrub 1-2 m tall of Dodonaea microzyga with a suite of less common shrubs and herbaceous plants, and scattered trees of Casuarina huegeliana and Pittosporum phylliraeoides. This is unique as a plant community. Eucalyptus dundasii and E. lesouefii form woodlands in the low ground between the hills.
