Summary
Book caption: There are no rivers in the Interzone, all drainage being received into salt lakes large and small. There is a tendency for small lakes to migrate to the WNW under the influence of the prevailing wind when the lakes are full. Evidently wave action erodes the western end of the lake and transports the material to the eastern end where it is deposited on sandy beaches and dunes.
