Item Detail
Summary
Book caption: The mineralised belts in the Interzone became the scene of intensive gold mining activity in the 1890s but later many of the mines and townships were abandoned. This scene shows the site of Davyhurst. The pile of bricks represents the hotel. Such deserted remains are common throughout the area, while in other places new mines have opened or old ones are still active.
