Item Detail
Summary
Book caption: "Reed swamps occur where water-logging is more or less continuous. These consist principally of dense Cyperaceae and Restionaceae with few woody plants, though blackboys are persistent and occasional shrubs of Agonis, Melaleuca and so on are seen. The pitcher plant (Cephalotus follicularis) occurs in these swamps. Among the reeds the restionaceous Leptocarpus tenax seems to be generally dominant with species of Anarthria and Restio, and sedges such as Lepidosperma and Mesomelaena. Northcliffe near Mt Chudalup."
