Summary
Stone's caption suggests that he took the photograph when this house belonged to Monger and that now (1868) it is the home of Comptroller Henry Wakeford. As Monger died in 1867 and Wakeford became the Comptroller General of the Convict Establishment in 1868 this photograph was probably take between 1860 and 1867. The building late became the Mount Hospital.

Title devised by cataloguer. Caption in album in the photographer's hand: Mongers [unreadable] Mt Eliza now the Comptroller Wakefords. In another hand: now the Mount Hospital. From an album A.H. Stone gave to his daughter Fanny Hampton on 30th October 1868 as a parting gift before she and her new husband left W.A. on 14 November 1868.
