Summary
South Australian Frank Winfield (1881-1953) but sent some years in WA searching for tin at Greenbushes between 1903 and 1905, and and later for gold in Sandstone and Black Range near Leinster, later opening general stores at the latter two sites. In addition to photograph of his activities in W.A., this collection also includes images of Winfields' parents, Edmund James Blackeby and Amelia, and his siblings Afred, Elsie, Jessie, Arthur, Alfie, Dailey, Janet and Adelaide, as well as a family property on Old Summit Road, Adelaide.
