Title devised by cataloguer. This shopping centre was the first of its kind in Western Australia and was completed in late 1969. The land was purchased by James (Jim) O'Donnell who owned O'Donnell Food Stores. The centre was developed by O'Donnell in partnership with Kerry Stokes, Jack Bendat and Kevin Merifield. (Information supplied by Jim O'Donnell's daughter)
