Summary
The tent in these photographs housed the ground breaking ceremony by the Premier Sir Charles Court for the new building to house the Library and Information Service of Western Australia (LISWA) later renamed State Library of Western Australia. (Reported in the Library Service of W.A. News Letter, January-February 1980, cover and p.1) Includes a photographs of Museum Street from James Street. This street was built over by the library between James and Francis Streets.
