Summary
Albert Pickles enlisted with the Australian Imperial Force in 1916 and was assigned to the 10th Light Horse Regiment 23 Division. He saw service in Egypt, Syria and Israel. The collection of photos captured something of the life of the 10th Light Horse on their journey from Port Said through to Damascus and Jerusalem. It includes a photograph of graves of soldiers of the 11th Light Horse Regiment. The collection includes some Pickles family photographs.
