Information provided by Treen Family: Mr Thomas Treen is the father of Thomas Treen, surveyor who arrived in Western Australia on the Island Queen, December 1840. Thomas snr was born around 8th September 1780 and married Elizabeth V Harris. Thomas Snr died 27th May 1868. Written on back of original print: This likeness of dear old Grandpapa taken in the garden at Applepen Sep. 1866 in the 87th year of his age.
