Summary
Photographs of working on Corunna Downs including Aboriginal people, Mr A. E. Stone the manager leaving in 1921, Hubert H. Brockman with the Powell girls, William Stanley (Billy) Wacher and Roy Hill, Alec (an Aboriginal man on the station) and Mr Campbell. Bales of wool are loaded for transporting to market, donkey teams are ready to pull them and the damage to the station from a cyclone on Boxing Day 1921.The boy at far left in 067302PD has been identified as Thomas Stream by his daughter Linda. Linda writes: My father Thomas Stream is the little boy in this photo he was born on Corrunna Downs and was buried there in 2013 next to the graves of Foulkes Taylor and his wife, this was my fathers wishes when he passed away. In the photo you can see my dad as a young boy with his tribe, my father was taken care of on the station by the station owner and the tribe of his mother, as his mother had died in child birth when he was born. My dad was born to a full blood girl and a german father who later deserted him. As you can see the boy in the photo is very fair and was quite often hidden by the station owner from the authorities.My father had no siblings as he was an only child.
