Title from slide mounts. Title for 142384PD supplied with information: The Power Station located in a low-lying area central to all the other facilities reticulated a 110 V a/c supply around the site via cyclone-proof underground cables. Power was supplied by eight diesel generators; six Caterpillar D353 straight six-cylinder diesels each driving 250kVA alternators, and two Cat D398 vee-12 diesels of 500kVA each. Two distribution systems were employed, one for power for electronic equipment, the other for utilities such as air-conditioning, domestic needs and lighting.
