Summary
The Burswood Island filter beds first built 1906 were part of the Claisebrook and Burswood Sewerage Treatment Works. Sewerage was pumped across the river to filter beds on Burswood Island. (Water : the abiding challenge by Su-Jane Hunt, p.56-57, 65)
