Summary
BOAC (British Overseas Airways Corporation) commenced services to Perth in April 1966. G-APFM Boeing 707-436 of BOAC (construction number 17714/170). First flight 24 Oct 1960 as G-APFM. Delivered to BOAC on 5 Nov 1960. Leased to BOAC/Cunard Aug 1962 - 7 Feb 1967. BOAC merged with BEA (British European Airways) to form British Airways on 1 April 1974. G-APFM was sold to Boeing during August 1976 as a trade-in against new Boeing 747s, and during that month, the aircraft was flown to Kingman, Arizona. It was withdrawn from use at Kingman, and broken up during September 1979. Info supplied by David Eyre – September 2009.
