Summary
The collection contains numerous photographs of the gravestones of the pioneering families in the Mandurah region. Includes three photographs of Peelhurst in about 1950. 'Peelhurst' is the name given to a partly-completed limestone cottage constructed by Thomas Peel Junior on his father's land in Golden Bay, in the early 1860's. Peel sold 'Peelhurst' to William and George Paterson in 1882, who used the land to keep stock from their farm in Pinjarra. What remains of the building are in what is now Thomas Peel Jnr Park, Golden Bay.
