Composite of three photographic prints. Annotations on reverse read: 1. View of Gwalia from Mt Leonora half a mile from Gwalia and about 33ft above the plateau, beyond the bush. 2. That big white space is not water, it's sand running away from the mill. 3. The State Hotel is the only brick building in the settlement and only two-stored building. Rest are mainly corrugated iron or canvas whitewahsed over, with about half a dozen mud brick houses.
