Summary
A family member has advised that the man seated second from left is Henry Dimer and the seated woman is his wife Topsy Whitehand Ponton. The photograph was most likely taken in 1893 before the birth of their son. (Information supplied May 2015) The marriage of Henry Dimer to Topsy Whitehand was registered in Israelite Bay in 1899. For this reason the original date of 1897 has been retained.A fencing party in the Balladonia region, seated eating and drinking before a hut made from branches.
