View takes in White City/Uglieland with a vista of South Perth and Kings Park beyond, 1927-1928. Once a year the Ugly Men's Association took over the amusement park, renamed Uglieland for the duration, for a carnival to raise funds for its charities. See 012489D and 012490D of the same view ca.1929 where the sign on the entrance reads White City.
