Diary (1834-1837) entitled "Book of odds and ends in the Australian colonies" includes notes on the Aborigines of W.A. and the York district; letters (1834-1837) to his father, Sir Henry Bunbury, in Suffolk, England (with two to his brother Charles) covering Bunbury's departure from England; voyage to, and life in, NSW; transfer to, and life in Van Diemen's Land; transfer to, and life in the Swan River Colony with descriptions of Fremantle and Perth, patrol duties in the Avon, and assignments to Pinjarra and the Vasse; and departure for England; journal entitled "Western Australia 1837 : from the Murray River to the Vasse".
