Summary
Raymond Bert (Bert) Laing talks about his family background and their life in Denmark; his father's experience of war and his return; his own experiences dairy farming after leaving school and the reasons for moving into beef farming. Bill Berridge talks about growing up in Denmark on a farm, milking cows and his social life. He discusses possible reasons for the diminished numbers of possums and small marsupials; presence of dingoes in the area; types of food grown to live on; economy and life style. He also discusses his father's contribution to life in Denmark, being Shire President, in demand as a master of ceremonies and very involved in tree planting.
