Janice reflects on her migration to Western Australia from the United Kingdom and starting work at King Edward in 1992; she discusses her initial employment as staff development educator for the midwifery course; her role as the Coordinator of the course; in 2000/2001 dividing her time between Curtin University and King Edward when they stopped the hospital based course; her role as the Head of the Department of Nursing and Midwifery Education and Research; her contribution to bringing about change in midwifery and its recognition as a distinct profession in Australia; various international conferences she has attended whilst at King Edward.
