Roia Atmar, a victim and survivor of domestic violence, migrated from Pakistan at the age of 14. She speaks of her early marriage, migrating to Australia; the isolation felt as a migrant, her children and her abusive relationship. She tells her harrowing story of escaping violence; navigating the Muslim faith and culture; how it took six years of silence before someone thought to ask Roia if she needed help; and the importance of listening to other women.
