Born in India, David Crann migrated to Australia and arrived in Western Australia in 1951. He speaks of: - his family and early life in India and later Scotland; schooling; migration and first impression of Australia; employment and acting career - Tivoli Theatre Productions in Adelaide and the Patch Theatre in Perth, W.A.. He discusses aspects of the Victoria Park local community - impact of multicultural residents, activities and work of local people / identities, commentary on landmarks, buildings, shops, and business life of Victoria Park; and the changing nature of the Victoria Park (WA) area from the 1940's onwards. He traces his association with the Patch theatre and its use of the Victoria Park Public Library hall.
