Summary
The R & I Tower was built 1985-1988 onto the facade of the old Palace Hotel with the first tenants moving in in 1988. It was officially opened 25 August 1989. After the R & I Bank became BankWest the building became the BankWest Tower (1994). It was sometimes familiarly known as the Bond Tower.
