The wide verandah structure in the centre of the image is the East Perth Railway Station. -- 344833PD: View to East Perth Power Station (chimneys in centre of image) and multi storey building on horizon is Main Roads Department. -- 344834PD: Mt Lawley with Swan River in background. -- 344835PD: Albany Bell Castle in Mt Lawley, East Perth and the city of Perth area. -- 344836PD: Mt Lawley and East Perth. -- 344837PD: St. Annes Hospital Mt Lawley and looking across to the city of Perth area. -- Written on negative: G.H Home Units Guildford Road, Oct 1970.1971 W.A. Telephone Directory lists St Anne's Hospital (Sisters of Mercy) at Thirlmere Road Mt Lawley. St Anne's Hospital later changed it's name to Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley. The Albany Bell Castle was built for Mr Albany Bell's company, 'Albany Bell Ltd' in Guildford Road Maylands and was used as a factory which provided the supplies of cakes, pastries, chocolates and otherconfectionery for his numerous shops in Perth, Fremantle, Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie.
