Inscription: 'Presented by the residents of South Perth to Jack Game Esq. in recognition of his 20 years service as skipper of the P.S. Duchess (? 10.9.[19]27) (numbers not clear)'. The ships wheel has names inscribed around the edge: E. Thompson - naval architect - Duchess - W & S Lawrence - builder - Perth W.A.
