Summary
Taken from A.H. Stone's home Alpha Cottage (now 16 St Georges Terrace) east clearly showing the dogleg where it becomes Adelaide Terrace at the intersection of Lord Street (after 1903 Victoria Avenue). The story goes that the dogleg came about due to John Septimus Roe's wife's rose garden which Roe made the road go around.
