Summary
The last Labour Day march or procession held in Perth. At the head of the march were heads of the labour movement such as Don Cooley, John Tonkin and Bob Hawke (as President of the ACTU). Various labour union groups took part carrying banners. As in most of these marches other affiliated groups also march - for example the Union of Australian Women, the Anti-Vietnam War protesters and even a small group of Aboriginal protesters.

Title supplied by cataloguer. Found in a container labelled: March 1972. 380326PD also received as a print with written on the back: Union of Australian Women. Noelene Hartley, Edna Ford, Wendy Kendrick, Melva Dicton, Margaret Bloomfield selling Our Women. Our Women was the magazine of the Australian Union of Women. A similar photograph to 380337PD and 380338PD is published in the West Australian 7 March 1972 showing only the three men from left to right with the caption: Left to right D. Cooley, President of W.A. Branch ACTU, J. Tonkin, Premier and Mr R.J. Hawke, President of the ACTU.
